International Property Awards 2007
Now in their 13th year, the International Property awards were presented by former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond at a glittering gala dinner in London’s Grosvenor Square. Approximately 400 property professionals representing 56 different countries around the globe gathered in eager anticipation of winning one or more of the 100 highly prestigious awards across 20 categories.
Selection is made from a panel of highly respected judges whose collective knowledge of the industry is second to none. Therefore, the International Property Awards draws on the invaluable expertise of representatives from the National Association of Estate Agents; Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors; National Housebuilding Council; Association of Relocation professionals and the British Interior Design Association, to name but a few. The panel is chaired by Eric Pickles MP, British Shadow Secretary of State.
This was another record year for Nirvana International and we achieved no less than 5 awards. The Augustus Resort scooped the awards for Turkey for ‘Best Development’ and ‘Best Marketing’ whilst its luxury zero carbon ‘Villa Caesar’ won the highest possible five star awards for ‘Best Property’, ‘Best Interior Design’ and ‘Best Architecture – Single Unit’.
No other Turkish/English company has achieved such great success in such a short time and we all at Nirvana are very proud of these great achievements. In fact the facts speak for themselves:
- 80% of our clients now have recommended a friend that has purchased.
- 70% of our clients have purchased multiply properties.
- Our clients are seeing returns on their investment in excess of 25% per year
- Nirvana have provided to the Turkish communities Golf and Football academies for the under privileged children and recently University scholarships where families can’t afford.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveying
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - is one of the most respected and high profile global 'standards and membership' organisations for professionals involved in land, property, construction and environmental issues. Robert Nixon MRICS, Nirvana Group Operations Director is very proud to be associated with the leading professional body in our industry. Robert has been a member since September 2002.
The Chartered Institution of Building
Chartered members are amongst the most highly regarded professionals working throughout the international construction industry. The membership represents the wide diversity of roles within the construction industry and promotes the delivery of high work standards and values. Robert Nixon MCIOB, Nirvana Group Operations Director background training was with the Institute and thanks to them it has given him the knowledge and professionalism to tackle some of the groups demanding and inspiring developments. Robert has been a member since January 2003.
Association of International Property Professionals
Nirvana International were awarded founder member status when the association was launched in 2006. The Association purpose is to promote the highest standards of professionalism in the overseas property industry, the Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) has been set up to provide the consumer with confidence, and the industry professionals with a united voice.
Leading International Developer - Turkey
Only the most respected agents and developers are invited to join. One particular element which identifies the best companies is their high standards of property presentation including the quality of their marketing and PR. These skills are the most important required for membership to be considered. Limiting the numbers allowed to join from each country maintains the exclusivity, this also helps in working and maintaining the collaboration of a small number of highly skilled practitioners. Nirvana International was awarded membership to this exclusive club at the beginning of 2006.
The Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants
The Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants was established in 1973 to unite those agents, developers and specialist consultants active in the international property markets whose common aim is to conduct their activities in a manner which seeks to protect the interests of those who have decided to purchase, or sell, a property overseas. Membership of the Federation is restricted to companies or individuals whose probability is beyond reasonable question. The individual principals must have the experience and professional expertise to meet the strict criteria set in the Federation's Code of Ethics. The Committee of the Federation and its members provide a valuable reservoir of many cumulative years of experience in international property. Nirvana International was awarded membership at the beginning of 2006.
The British Chamber of Commerce of Turkey
Founded in 1887 by a group of British businessmen, from its base in Istanbul, the Chamber has developed into one of the key players in the promotion of UK-Turkish business. The Chamber is a member of Council of British Chamber of Commerce in Continental Europe (COBCOE) and works closely with the British Trade International representatives in the British Consulate General in Istanbul. The Chamber's excellent network of Turkish and British members is enhanced by links with the various Turkish chambers of commerce, chambers in the UK and UK Trade and Investment. Nirvana International was awarded membership at the beginning of 2006.
The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA)
Founded in 1962 by estate agent and entrepreneur Raymond Andrews, the NAEA was established with the goal of upholding good practice and high professional standards in UK estate agency. This struck a chord with the industry at a time when there was little representation for estate agents and has allowed the Association to grow phenomenally over the years.
The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) is the UK's leading professional body for estate agency. Its 10,000 members practice across all aspects of property both in the UK and overseas, including residential and commercial sales and letting, property management, business transfer, auctioneering and land. The NAEA members are bound by strict rules of conduct to ensure they offer the public the highest level of integrity and service, while the Association's entry qualification means you can be sure you are dealing with an expert. By choosing an NAEA member you can feel secure in the knowledge that you and your property are in safe hands. Nirvana International was awarded membership in 2007.
