Austrian ambassador eyes Kayseri link up

Turkey welcomes British royals
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have arrived in Turkey at the start of a four-day tour of the country.Arriving in capital Ankara yesterday (Sunday, November 25th) evening, the couple will take in several cultural and historic sites, with a visit to mausoleum of 13th century poet and philosopher Jalal al-Din al-Rumi.The British royals were invited to the country by new Turkish president Abdullah Gul, whom they will dine with during the trip.Also on the itinerary will be a trip to Catalhoyuk, to see a 9,000 year-old Neolithic settlement, the port city of Izmir on the Aegean...

Historic railway will provide gateway to Europe
A historic railroad has been opened which connects central Asia with Europe.The Caspian Sea - Turkey railway connects Georgia and Azerbaijan to Turkey and was officially launched yesterday (November 21st, 2007).Work will now being on the final part of the route, which takes the construction up to Azerbaijan's border.Abdullah Gul, the president of Turkey, heralded the event as historic.
