Turkey Property Turkish painter displays work in Big Apple
Senol Tilki, the noted Turkish painter, is to display a collection of his work in New York, starting from today (Tuesday, April 2nd).
The Moments of Tension exhibition at the Turkish Centre can be visited until April 30th, reports the New Anatolian.
According to the newspaper: "Tilki is interested in painting for 30 years, and has focused on his own style for the last decade.
"He has an abstract figurative style, his paintings have surrealistic elements and he particularly uses animals and insects like elephant, rhinoceros, bee and ant."
The artist has also exhibited in Holland and Germany.
The Istanbul-situated BM Contemporary Art Centre is a place to go for tourists interested in modern pieces.
It has organised over 20 international shows and promoted the work of over 50 artists.
Other venues of note include the Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art and the Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum.
