Turkey Property Turkish Grand Prix is landmark for veteran driver
Formula One driver Rubens Barrichello will celebrate breaking the record for the most number of Grand Prix starts next month at the Turkish Grand Prix.
The experienced Brazilian will equal Riccardo Patrese's tally of 256 starts at the Istanbul Park circuit during the much-anticipated race.
Barrichello will be hoping to emulate his countryman Felipe Massa, who has won two of the three Turkish Grand Prix since 2005's inaugural event.
The 35-year-old is looking forward to making the achievement: "As a boy, when I looked over the wall at Interlagos (Brazilian Grand Prix circuit) to look at Formula One, I always wanted to be there and to be a race winner.
"I never thought I was going to be the longest driver in F1 history," he added.
A total of 155,000 spectators can be seated around the Istanbul Park track, with two seven-storey VIP towers at either end of the paddock providing the most prized vantage points.
