Istanbul is to host Turkey's first property trade show following its enormous growth in the property and investment market.
RealistExpo is organised by Atilim Fuarcilik, an international exhibition staging company and hopes to attract some 70,000 visitors from around the world from September 27th to 30th.
Turkey has been recognised as the investment choice for the future because it currently has average Mediterranean property prices that are 30 to 50 per cent lower than Spain, France and Italy.
The cost of living in Turkey is about 40 to 60 per cent less than in continental Europe and with the introduction of the new mortgage law and forecast entry into the European Union, returns on investment are set to be fruitful.
Domestic and foreign investors, land developers, bankers and government urban planners are all expected to attend the event, which organisers hope will become "one of the most prestigious real estate trade shows in the world".
The Turkish property market was recently described as "one of the hottest in Europe" by Business Week magazine.
