Turkey Property Highway to improve transport links in Izmir region
A new highway soon to be constructed will improve transport links in the west of Turkey.The Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir highway project will see the completion of a road 420 kilometres (260 miles) long, with a 3,000 metre suspension bridge named the Izmit Gulf Transition.A tender is planned to take place in Ankara in October this year.Companies from Italy, Japan, Germany, British, the US and France are expected to be involved in the process, reports Hurriyet. Turkey Property Fethiye meteorite sent for analysis
A meteorite which landed in the Fethiye district - the home to the yachting centre of Gocek - has been sent for analysis.Officials confirmed that the small object which fell from space will be sent to the Mining Exploration Institute (MTA), reports Today's Zaman.According to Fethiye deputy district governor Halil Ibrahim Comaktekin the meteorite fell in Yaka Village.Mr Comaktekin told the newspaper: "The head of the village called and informed us, saying that the meteorite was black.
