Call for Turkish SMEs to unite

Turkish small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) have been called upon to unite forces to boost the country's already growing economy to improve investment opportunities.Hilmi Develi, head of the Turkish Foundation for Small and Medium Business, said that half of the 44,082 exporting companies in Turkey are SMEs, which earned an average of US$30,000 (£15,000) in 2006, but more can be done.As anyone with property in Turkey knows, the country's economy has been improving in recent years and Mr Develi thinks that SMEs can help boost this further.He called on the government to change its...

IMF approves Turkeys letter of intent

Foreign demand a vote of confidence
