Turkey Property Swiss Air to open new Turkish services
Swiss Air has become the latest airline to announce an increase in services to and from Turkey with the launch of daily flights between Istanbul and Geneva.
The new addition to the carrier's timetable will come into effect on April 30th and supplements the 11 weekly services already running to Istanbul to Zurich.
Swiss Air's move to bring in more Turkey-bound flights is another indication of the growing number of visitors to Turkey, both for business and pleasure purposes.
The decision is thought to be a response to the high numbers of passengers expected to travel during June as football's European Championships take place in Austria and Switzerland.
Turkey qualified for the tournament from a group containing champions Greece. They face Portugal, Czech Republic and the Swiss in the first stage of the finals.
According to the Turkish Daily News, Swiss Air will be able to provide more Turkey connections for British passengers with the introduction of new services: "Swiss is also improving its service on the Geneva-London City route from six to seven daily flights."
