Antalya is favourite with international capital companies
Antalya has become one of the preferred locations in Turkey for international capital companies, according to new reports.
Figures from the Treasury Undersecretariat show that apart from Istanbul, Antalya is the next most popular place for firms of this nature, reports the New Anatolian.
Statistics show that of the 17,756 international capital companies in Turkey, 9,657 are situated in Istanbul, 2,146 in Antalya and 1,168 in Ankara and 1,072 in Izmir, signalling a trend of firms considering tourist centres as good locations to from which base their businesses.
A reason for the increase in interest in Antalya as a business spot could be the nearby Belek area, which is Turkey's home of golf - a favourite sport among business executives and those who work within finance.
The National Golf Club in Antalya has an internationally-recognised championship course designed by former Ryder Cup player David Feherty which opened in 1994.
