Sucessful Marketing for Turkey in Property
Tricks of the trade
- Be quick to respond to enquirers, and reply politely with any suitable information they may need – even if already stated on an advert. If you can’t help them this time round – they may come back to you for their summer holiday next year, or recommend your Turkey property to someone else!
- Do everything you can to encourage repeat business. Contact guests after their visit to make sure everything was ok and keep in touch with Christmas cards.
- If you have any late vacancies to fill, try emailing all your previous visitors to offer them a special last minute deal of your Turkey property.
- Get a guest book and keep it at the Turkey property. You can use this for gathering useful feedback and ideas for improvements to your Turkey property and it can also provide you with valuable testimonial comments from your guests which can be included in your advertising. You can’t beat testimonials from previous guests for describing the best things about your property from a holidaymaker’s point of view.
- Keep up to date with local events and activities. Often the organisers will be concerned about visitors being able to find enough accommodation and will compile a list of suggested accommodation in the area. This is often free, so make sure your Turkey property is included.
- Work together with other owners – they are your competitors as you are often competing for the same holidaymakers but you can also work together as friends to everyone’s benefit. When you get an enquiry for a date that is already booked, suggest a similar Turkey property owned by a friend and you could soon nurture a mutually beneficial arrangement for passing bookings between the two of you.
- Keep an eye on the market – and make sure your pricing and your facilities remain up to date and competitive.
Nirvana and Holiday Lettings also provide monthly newsletters offering help and advice and of course any special offers to encourage those late bookings of your Turkey property.
